With customary Pomp and Ceremony, Kendal Concert Band created the atmosphere of a “Last Night of the Proms” to help Grasmere celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday under the expressive baton of Becki Clifford-Perkins.
Topped by Solo performances – Bill Duxbury: Alto Saxophone, Chris Stoneham: Trumpet, Claire Redhouse: French Horn, Edward Holt: Oboe, Laura Tattersall: Flute and Peter Bayliss: Clarinet.
Solo Vocal of 17 year old Music Student Jacob Curry who lead the assembled company into Rule Britannia and Jerusalem provided a rousing chorus of community celebration.
